It's been a week of computer issues. As I type this, there is a notification on the computer stating that "A virus has been found" and our IT person is on the way to the X-studio. This is about the 10th time in the past seven days this has happened, and I'm not even exaggerating. I promise I'm not surfing for porn on this computer. I'm not real sure what the problem is..I guess it's on a web site we use for music news?
On a related note, my myspace has been overtaken with friend requests from scantily clad women in bikinis. Now don't get me wrong, I was quite flattered when the first one popped up, and hit "accept" immediately. After about ten more rolled in the next minute, I figured that either the US Bikini Team suddenly were fans of 104 the X, or something fishy (pardon the pun) was going on. When I noticed that some of the girls had different names but the same pictures, I knew it was the latter. :( My friend request box is currently filled with this bikini/porn girls. So if you send me a friend request at myspace.com/thefish104thex and I don't immediately approve it, send me a message. You may be lost in a sea of bikinis.
A few weeks back I got a new Ipod to replace the one I broke on the beach last year. Unfortunately, it was not compatible with years-old operating system I was using on my computer. This weekend I finally updated the software and was able to use my new Ipod. What bummed me out is that the newer Ipods are no longer compatible with firewire...Those USB ports are slow compared to that. So I had to leave it connected overnight while it sent my thousands of songs to the Ipod.
Computers. We gotta have them, but it doesn't mean we have to love them.
