Saturday was a very busy day for me. I woke up early for work around 9 A.M. and got down to business around 9:45 A.M. I completed my morning work around noon, and then waited around for The Fish to show up so we could prepare for the Downtown Christmas Parade. When he arrived we prepped ourselves by taking a walk so our muscles would be warm for the long walk during the parade. After that we loaded up the X-Wagon with candy and headed to the starting point.
After sitting around for a little we started the march. The crowd was going crazy, and when the crowd goes crazy that just excites us even more. We were running through the parade goers and trying to start cheering contests we were also throwing candy and hugging people. Apparently, the TV cameras caught the action too, because on Monday, Shannon Marks remarked to The Fish that we looked crazy on TV. I also heard that Scott Robb, Jeff Beimfohr and Lauren Unger, the hosts of the Christmas Parade Show, gave some love for 104 the X. On the route, some fans even made 104 the X signs and the pictures we took are up on the website under X-Pics. The highlight of my night was when a girl was holding a sing that said:
Dan Day Will You Marry Me?
I do not even remember if I said yes or no. Knowing me, I probably hugged her, took a picture then gave her a candy cane.
Overall, it was a great parade and I would like to thank everyone who showed up and screamed their vocal chords out and for everyone that stayed at home and showed support by watching us on TV.
This week is the 104 the X-Mas Bash and if the past has been any indication this year’s Bash will be crazy. Last year, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus had to cancel at the last minute due to lead singer Ronnie Winter having laryngitis. In addition to that, 30 Seconds to Mars was in the X-Mas Bash last year and whenever they come it is a fiasco. Hopefully there will be no cancellations this Wednesday and Thursday at The Texas Club, but I would not mind a little bit of a fiasco.
