Man, people were bummed out in Baton Rouge after that LSU game on Friday. I did a remote at Fred's in tigerland immediately following the game, so I was stuck in traffic getting there. People were walking from Tiger Stadium to their cars looking like a they were attending a funeral. There was a guy with a megaphone yelling at people telling them how much they sinned. It was a strange scene. Cheer up, Red Stick, LSU still has games to play and important things to play for. Life will be alright! 104 the X is here to save the day!
The Thanksgiving holiday was a welcome break for a day or two. I mean, we were still working pretty much everyday, but it wasn't wall-to-wall work like normal. I slept late at least one day. It felt good. Although I did go running on Sunday and got rained on again. I hope my (already broken) Ipod is ok.
I saw the movie "Into the Wild" a few weeks back and thought it was really good. Even if you don't necessarily agree with the message that is portrayed, it's still a very well-made movie. The soundtrack by Eddie Vedder is very prominent in the movie and helps move back and forth between chapters and times.
The first time I listened to Puscifer's debut CD, "V is for ******" (I'm not sure we can put that word on our web site or not), I was a little thrown off. Puscifer is Maynard James Keenan's new project. It's sort of dancey, sort of electronic, but still very Maynard. After I took it home and listened to it while chilling out, I appreciated it a lot more. It's a very good CD to set the mood for. What mood? I'm not real sure. I've been listening to it while going to sleep lately. I've also been having some very strange dreams lately. Coincidence?
We've been doing the Guitar Hero 3 challenge at Click's the past couple of weeks, and I've seen some really good players. However, the best players I saw were the 8 or 9 year old kids playing in the tournament held a couple of weeks ago at the Perfect Bass and Perfect Guitar. One kid was so good, he was playing behind his back and showing off like he was on stage. Those kids were doin' it.
This week: Guitar Hero 3 Challenge, 12 Stones, Drowning Pool, Fred's, and maybe a pizza party.
